PERLEN (Pearls), the Queer Film Festival Hannover, has become an integral part of Hanover's cultural life as well as for the state capital's queer community. Every year in autumn the doors of the cinema in the Künstlerhaus (Artists house) Hannover open for one of the largest queer film festivals in northern Germany with 9 festival days.

The Perlen cooperate with regional and national organizations, clubs and foundations. Sponsors and supporting members also support the PERLEN.
