All roads lead to Rome, and the same goes for our favorite cinema!
Since February 1983, the Kommunale Kino has had its central venue in the Künstlerhaus, the Kino im Künstlerhaus.
With the renovation of the Künstlerhaus from 1999 to 2001, the original architecture could be made visible and tangible again in essential areas. The rooms of the cinema were also redesigned, and the interesting architecture of the foyer and the adjoining atrium in particular still surprises visitors.
The movie theater is equipped with comfortable armchairs and has 159 seats.
The cinema is barrier-free, with several wheelchair spaces available in the auditorium. The auditorium has a complete theater stage so that events can be combined with a stage and screen.
The PERLEN - Queer Film Festival has been associated with the Kommunales Kino Hannover since the festival began in 1997 and organizes the queer film festival every year in October, which is known supraregional.
