We are pleased to announce the festival dates for this year's PERLEN - Queer Film Festival. Please save the following dates:

► June 9 - 10, 2025: Shortly after the CSD Hannover, the SOMMERPERLEN  (SUMMER PEARLS) (formerly known as "Perlen im Frühling") will take place for the 11th time at the Kommunales Kino Hannover.

Are you fans of documentaries   that capture reality in a creative way? No problem! Do you prefer thrilling feature films that immerse you in captivating stories?  Then come to us! Or do you rather love short films that convey emotional and compelling messages in compact formats? We are also huge fans of this art form!

On these two special days, we have everything ready that the heart desires to offer you an exciting preview of the autumn festival. Look forward to inspiring  stories and enriching  encounters that you shouldn't miss!

► October 24 - November 1, 2025: The 29th edition of the festival is particularly special for us. As one of the largest queer film festivals in Northern Germany, we are excited to present an inspiring program with LGBTIQ* relevance in 2025 as well.

With our special concept that offers nearly everyone the opportunity to actively participate in the festival, we aim to celebrate the diversity of the queer community while simultaneously strengthening cultural exchange in Hannover.

We present you with documentaries, feature films, and many, many short films from various countries, and of course, we strive to provide you with subtitles that are as accessible as possible.

The festival will be special, so look forward to it!
